This is a Microbiology Tech position. Responsible for performing laboratory testing using approved standard operating procedures.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Approved CLIA certification (ASCP, HHS, NCA, AMT, or equivalent) or eligible for certification. If eligible for certification, must be certified within two years from date of hire. Eligibility is defined through completion of MLT program. Must be proficient in blook bank, general lab and phlebotomy.
Desired: Recent hospital experience preferred.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have working knowledge of laboratory concepts and applications. Must possess the ability to perform testing on patient samples; function independently and under pressure; demonstrate critical thinking skills; prioritize work effectively to prevent delays; demonstrate effective communication skills; and perform venipuncture.
