Job Description:
 

Performs basic, routine and advanced diagnostic procedures for the isolation and identification of microbial pathogens from clinical specimens. In each specialized area, the Technician maintains in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles and instrumentation, as well the physiological conditions affecting test results. Maintains familiarity with the various testing procedures done in the laboratory. Conducts or assists in special projects, evaluates new products and instrumentation and performs quality control procedures.
1. Performs basic, routine and advanced diagnostic procedures as described above.
2. Conducts or assists in special projects as assigned.
3. Evaluates new products and instrumentation and performs regular quality control measures.
4. Maintains currency in field of expertise by attending appropriate conferences and reading available literature.

Job Qualifications:
 

Minimum Required Education Certificate
Preferred Education Bachelor's
Minimum Required Experience 1-2 years
Preferred Experience 2-3 years
