JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director, Pharmacy Informatics and Technology, the Pharmacy Informatics Systems Analyst serves as a technical resource in the design, development, build, data analysis, and maintenance of the EpicRx system. Receives direction from, and works closely with, the Pharmacy Informatics Specialists. Utilizes knowledge of Pharmacy practice and information systems to insure that software logic and workflow support operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Computer Science or related field. Experience in Healthcare or Pharmacy/Hospital IT or knowledge of EpicCare system is strongly preferred. An advanced degree may offset experience.Ability to work well with various ITD and Pharmacy professionals possessing varying skill levels with the Epic applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer service as focus are essential requirements. Strong analytical skills and a propensity to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and possess excellent initiative. Demonstrated computer skills with using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Minimum of two years of information technology experience. Minimum of five years Pharmacy technician experience with increasing roles of responsibility will offset the degree requirement. Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying 5 to 15 pounds.
