Job Details
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for producing diagnostic microscope slides from surgical and autopsy specimens. Must accurately accession, assist with gross, embed, cut stain, file. Performs special procedures, frozen sections and special stains.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Must be able to work with organization, accuracy and with minimal supervision for all duties assigned.
* Minimum one year Histology experience n a hospital laboratory preferred.
* High school education and one year Histology training required Associates degree in histotechnology or Bachelors degree in Science and Histology training preferred.

Required Length and Type of Experience
* Experience with laboratory computer system preferred.
* Experience with special stains preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, or Registry
* HT (ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) or eligible required.
