The Histology Technologist supports the laboratory pathology department in preparing, processing and staining of tissue specimens for review by the pathologists. Performs procedures consistent with procedures under the direction of the department supervisor, manager or director. Assures accurate and timely processing and handling of specimens and applies the theoretical concepts of clinical laboratory medicine using independent judgment.
