Responsible for managing the nursing and support staff to provide optimal patient care in this ambulatory care setting. Ensures patient care is provided in accordance with established Baylor Health Care System standards and legal requirements. Develops, submits, administers the operating budget for the Outpatient Clinic and supports the goals and objectives of the clinic. This position will oversee the clinical and operational function of two clinics which are located in Richardson, TX and Wylie, TX.

- Provides for adequate staffing to ensure optimal care of patients. Recruits, interviews, hires, develops, trains, counsels and terminate staff as needed. Approves PTO, EIB, and Leaves of Absence. Goal is for turnover less than 15%.
- Develops, reviews, revises, implements policies, goals and objectives. Investigates, resolves, and documents patient and physician complaints. Communicates with other departments to ensure quality patient care. Communicates hospital decisions to staff.
- Rounds on staff, and patients to ensure quality care. Ensures staff have what they need to perform their duties. Encourages excellent performance.
- Organizes and facilitates a unit based Partnership Council to ensure continuity of planning and implementation of effective patient care.
- Coordinates QA/CQI projects to ensure they are consistent with the goals and objectives of Baylor Health Care System QA/CQI standards.
- Facilitates staff education both orientation and on-going. Communicates new/revised protocols, guidelines, standards to the staff. Approves and contributes to in-services.
- Assists with patient care as needed such as when staff calls in sick or increased patient census.
REQUIREMENTS:
BSN is a requirement.
TX RN is a requirement.
Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience.
